Simone runs a seedy transient motel by herself, day and night, day after day, hoping to raise enough money for her 17-year-old daughter's education. But then a stranger arrives and everything changes. There's nothing normal about him: he's clean, he's got money, and he wants a room for several days, not just for an hour like the other guests. But above all, this strangely familiar man is too interested in Simone's daughter.

MARC BEAUPRÉ

Marc Beaupré studied at the National Theatre School of Canada and has since received immediate critical and popular success. For several years, he has been directing radical stage works, seeking the most current, short and obvious formal means to return to the heart of the classics that have moved him. His work has been acclaimed by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television as well as by the Association québécoise des critiques de théâtre. The Wasp is his first work as a filmmaker.
