SAMUEL LECOEUR

Under the artist name Böme, Samuel carries a specific artistic project: to share the emotion of movement. He has gradually tamed the emotional quality of movement by creating immersive experiences that place gesture at their core, such as Birdie Long Gone (selected at the Atelier Grand Nord XR, Venice Film Festival, and Cannes XR) or Hétérotopia (New Images, FIVARS, Numix Award). This study of gesture that his VR creations have enabled him to undertake, he wishes to continue outside the headset, to achieve a level of connection and intimacy among participants that VR headsets do not allow. Thus, he created the format of self-performance: participants performing for each other, without actors or dancers to guide them. After initially getting participants to move consciously and sensibly with Vegetal Tempo (Laval Virtual 2022), he created Les Naufragé.e.s with all the lessons learned from several years of research and creation.
